Wellbeing Planning for Real
Planning for Real® (PFR) is a nationally recognised community planning process that allows communities to express their views on a range of issues, work together to identify priorities, and go on to develop an action plan for change with partner agencies.

Ignite CVO's Wellbeing Planning for Real integrates the Planning for Real (PFL) process with our Positive Community Development (PCD) model to provide an asset based approach to stimulating community problem-solving around key wellbeing issues which is fully inclusive and promotes community participation.

Consistent with the standard PFL model is the building of a 3D model and the use of suggestions cards. However, our 3D model and suggestion cards focus on community identified wellbeing assets and key wellbeing issues.

Integral to our process is the use of Participatory Budgeting for enabling communities to fully understand the cost to benefit implications of action and inaction and what this means for them and individuals and collectively as a community.
We also use Reflection and Appreciative Enquiry techniques to promote greater understanding of what it is within the community that promotes wellbeing and how these wellbeing assets might be more effectively used, now and in the future.
